Not really. Rulers don't even hurt. I think they should bring back bamboo sticks. Students these days don't give as much respect as back then. They should be disciplined.

No, they shouldn't. However, they should be MUCH more willing to FLUNK THE KIDS OUT. They should also be more willing to send the kids back home to their parents. These days, schools are just babysitters rather than being educators. It is a privilege to be educated, not a right. Kids should have to earn that right.

Actually I think that schools should bring back the good old board of education.
Spanking kids causes agression? Give me a break - we stopped spanking them and they are shooting up schools! We stopped spanking them and they got mouthy, entitled, and unruly.
What ever happened to the fear - not shaking in our boots terror - but respectful fear of adults because they were authority figures? It's gooooone. Crime is up. Kids are completely unable to function outside of school - real life kicks 'em righ between the eyes because they cannot deal with it!

violent crime up 467%
state and federal prisoners up 463%
out-of-wedlock childbirth up 461%
single parent households up 300%
out-of-wedlock birth account for 32% of all births nationally-highest D.C. at 64% lowest Utah at 17%
26% of all pregnancies aborted....
all since prayer was removed from schools....interesting.

No because if you hit a child that misbehaves then the child will learn that violence and aggression is how you deal with people who bother you. So a BIG NO NO!
