i fractured my pinky at the base of my pinky (not in the hand) and got a cast on my pinky ring finger and hand for three weeks. I got it off then a day or 2 later my ring finger started to hurt. Is it just sore from being in the cast or is it hurt?

it is probly because it was in the cast to that is got use to staying straight that it now hurts to bend it. i would say just keep moving it and it should stop hurting

Your finger is stiff from being in the cast. Rub it and do some mild exercise to strengthen it. For every day a muscle lays dormant it takes 7 to rebuild it. I was in a cast for 4.5 months and a brace for 4 and it felt like I had to learn to walk all over again because I didn't have strength in my leg. I had to work to build it up.
