I had a set of natural triplets. 2 identical boys and one girl. They are ten now. How likley does anyone know it would be to have another multiple birth? Would it be possible to just have ONE ever?

Most cases of women who have natural triplets (or quads) never have another set. However, some women throw multiple eggs every ovulation (as in the case of the woman in Russia who ultimately had 69 children). As far as how common is it? I should think that the Triplet Connection would have some stats on that.

When I used to surf to get info for my friend who had quads in the 80s, it wasn't all that uncommon for a mom of triplets to later have a set of twins.

I am an identical triplet (all three girls) and we turn 19 tomorrow!! We were natural born also. Anyways, my mom's doctor told her that it just depends on if it runs in the family or not and that it is extremely rare to have identical triplets its like 1 in 500,000!!

I don't know the stats. That would be a good question for your OB but I do have a family of one of my patients who's mother ALWAYS releases two eggs when she ovulates. So far she has 18 month old twins,6 month old twins and has a set on the way!

Its\ says....Personal history. If you have already carried fraternal twins, you have double the usual risk of having twins.
