Birmingham's a marvellous place. It's like London without the conspicuous consumption or pretentiousness or a landlocked version of Britain's best city, Glasgow.
Also, the accent that everyone thinks they know and hate is a Black Country accent, not a Birmingham one, and there's nothing wrong with either accent. They're just very distinctive.

Of course!
We get bad press because some people are so ignorant of us. We get judged by our accent. How shallow is that!
Brummies are kind, hard working, trustworthy. We have
a wonderful city. Appreciate the arts, and encourage our
children to do like so.
We have the best curry houses. We have Chinatown. etc.etc.etc.
Oh - we don't mind giving our seats up for people on the bus.
And a few miles up the road we have Stratford on Avon. Where we meet people of all cultures. Now then asker
Where the hell do you come from?

The Rotunda, just like Brummies take some knocking over !
They are certainly understandable, somewhat different to other areas round the UK.
Crystal clear tap water courtesy of the Welsh Hills.
Absolutely fantastic night life !

Home of The Mother's Club, alas I think it may be closed now. Brummies have done their bit, they used to make some funky motorbikes and lime green cars with brown plastic trim and surely everyone loves Noddy Holder and Lenny Henry.

alot of people from bham (like me) actually don't speak in the typical "brummie accent". Birmingham is actually a good place- we have a good town centre, which is improving by the second, and the Bullring shopping centre, which attracts alot of tourists. Birmnigham has a good night life to suit different people. The town centre is quite big, and has alot to offer in terms of shops and people...also, other places, such as soluhull and northfield are just a bus journey away. :D

Plenty!
It's UK central so it's easy to get to places.
We are the second city (sorry Manchester, it's NOT you)
It has a vibrant cultural and ethnic mix which is (largely) harmonious
I'm from here!
It's Europe's shopping capital dontcha know
Brummies can rise above adversity despite being pigeonholed as thick by smallminded cretins who judge people on their accents.

I think that Birmingham is a lovely place particually the city centre, me and my boyfreind have been there regualy now and I love it! Shops are great too. There is nothing wrong with the Birmingham accent - and I think the some people are dissing it and being streotypical about the people.

Yes, there is a lot right with the second city. It has been developed a lot over the last 10 years and they have got rid of that bullring. They have two good Premier league clubs and Edgbaston Cricket ground.
Also, I do like the accent. You cannot get angry at a Brummie!!
