He may have found his feelings have changed, he's tired and wants a rest....perhaps he simply wants more time to himself... why not save yourself heartache and ask him... better than trying to guess or have ppl put wrong ideas in your head ! :D

He probably can't decide what he wants. It probably hurts him if he sees you and hurts him if he doesn't see you. So he probably foolishly decided to throw in the towel on your relationship, hoping against all hope that if he throws himself into his other relationship, that'll somehow make him forget about the feelings he has for you, or somehow that'll equate the new love interest to you.
It won't work.
