It's no big deal to lose your mucus plug. Women can lose it long before they go into labor. Besides another one will go back. If your water didn't break or if your not having contractions, then don't worry. I can't believe the nurse/doctor didn't tell you that... You wont really know you have lost your mucus plug unless you see (which obviously you did.)

A doctor CAN tell if you lost your plug, I had mine 100% stripped by my doctor at 39 weeks so I would have my child within a few days. They also would be able to tell you if your plug is hard or 50%,etc. My best friend and I were due a couple weeks apart. Her doctor knew her plug and cervix was hard and needed help. Mine on the other hand was soft and was easy to have stripped by the doctor. I keep thinking I lost mine but finally when I did I knew. There is alittle blood and alot of junk.

Did you see your mucus plug. It's like a clot of yellow snot with a little pink in it. It's not a big deal and you might not go into labor for a few weeks.
