It's always the premium channels that have all of the actually good shows (there's pretty much nothing on cable worth watching besides sports...and soon you'll have to pay for all of those too). Showtime's, "Dexter" with Michel C Hall has got to be the coolest, most artfully-done, edge-of-your-seat, keep you guessing show I've ever seen.
I guess this isn't really a question, just advice to those who want something good to watch. Do yourself a favor, rent/buy the first season on DVD and then rent/buy the second when it comes out next year (however, do not, under any circumstances, start the second season without watching the entire first one!)

Dexter is the best show on tv. I have no idea where they can go with it after these last few episodes and cant wait to find out. Nip/Tuck isn't bad this season and Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia rules as far as basic cable shows go.

I looooove Dexter. sadly i dont have showtime anymore so I havent been able to c the second season but I cant wait to buy season 2 when it comes out on dvd..
Everyone should definitely give Dexter a try. One episode and u'll be hooked
I do think that there are good shows on cable though. Like Heroes and House...but that's just my opinion.

I love Dexter. It is my favorite show. It is edgy and Michael C. Hall plays the character so excellently! I own the first season on DVD and lent it to my boss to watch. He has watched the first few episodes and really likes it. I cannot wait to see what happens to Doakes and Lila.

im in Australia so i have to *ahem* acquire it via the internet.
they just began to air season 1 over here, but im up to season 2.
i wasn't really getting into season 2 but then laughed my as$ off when rehab worked out well for him.

No, Jon and Kate + 8 is. Will and Grace is just silly but the way that Kate acts with her hubby and those kids is probably THE most annoying reality show on television.

You want to laugh your a** off; keep a look out for any "Married with Children" re-runs! I really miss that show..
Haven't seen anything funnier than Al Bundy & Family since they took them off the air almost 10 years ago now!

its interesting. Somehow a show about a serial killer never appealed to me. My sister says its GREAT! I was thinking about watching it..so you say you have to see the first season first?
