step 1) make sure Itunes is open, as in, the page with library, your ipod should be connected to your computer so that it shows up in Itunes.
step 2) have your music file in sight, as in you can plainly see and click it, then drag and drop it into your library folder, not the one under your ipod, the main itunes library folder
step 3) wait until it appears and appears to be finished, you should now be able to select it, play it, whatever in Itunes
step 4) drag and drop it onto your Ipod, as in the (whatever you named your Ipod here) icon in Itunes. It should port it to your Ipod, once done check to see if the recently uploaded music is on your Ipod
note: if your ipod does not appear on itunes, even when it is plugged in after a minute or so, you have a problem I cannot help with.

If you have iTunes set as your default music device, then either import the mp3 into itunes or it should automatically detect it... When its in itunes, simply plug in your ipod and sync it (or drag it to the playlist if its a smaller ipod) and you're good to go!

You have to move the song to an itunes library. If you are on a mac just click and drag it to itunes. You may need to convert it to AAC format once you have in itunes. Just right click and convert.

on iTunes, there should be a little thing at the top left corner that says "file"...you then click it, and go to open or import files, then go your My Music file, and open it. then, it's directly taken to your iTunes, where you can download it to your ipod>

According the the iTunes help file you can simply "drag and drop" the folder into iTunes and you're good to go! I usually do the "Import and Browse" method, but I also like command line interfaces! LOL! :)

If you have iTunes as your music thing....your music should go directly into it, and from there just upload it onto your iPod. Its dead simple. You can sync your music to your iPod by selecting that option.
