John Bonham from Led Zeppelin too =\ they would have kept rocking if he didn't die.
Also, although I don't listen to John Lennon much nor am I a big fan of the beatles, I found his death very tragic! His song "Imagine" is great and the video for it is ... well... beautiful. He could have been an even better musician if he lived... also, his death was like innocent. He didn't do anything. The guy that shot him wasn't his enemy. It was really tragic.

Ritchie Valens he was on 16 I think all these Elvis people what the ???? he killed himself also I think Dimebag Darrell I'm from Columbus Ohio and I will never forget that day as long as live forget the people who killed themselves what about the ones who still wanted to live and now they are gone I agree John Lennon could've made a big difference in this world if he only had the chance.

The saddest ARE NOT the ones caused by drug overdoses! Those are caused by moral weakness and/or ineptitude. The saddest death's were those caused by bad pilots. Like Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens, or the guys from Lynyrd Skynrd! What a loss to the music world those guys were...

John Lennon, Buddy Holly, Lynyrd Skynrd band members - most of the others contributed to their own deaths thru drink'drugs/lifestyle - but these were murder and tragic accidents
