They dont consider it to be safe because in most cases it will give you contractions usually strong (but not put you into labor) and cause severe diarhea (which can quickly dehydrate you) yes it can and does work for a handful of people but honestly the risks outweigh the benifits! You could take it and chance a bad reaction or just play it safe and let your body do its job! it will be over before you know it!

It's castor oil not Castro Oil that you put in your car. I saw the show today you are talking about. Here are the facts that you seemed to have overlooked. They weren't mad but they did say she did it wrong and didn't take the right amount. It didn't really help her go into labor because the midwife said it only helped her mildly. She didn't sleep all night because she had diarrhea and she still had to go home and wait before the contractions got close together. You are only 35 weeks, you need to wait. Don't try it. I'm pregnant with #2 and am willing to go all the way.

In small quantities that's completely risk-free to ingest castor oil. the common dose is a few tablespoon. yet so a ways because it honestly inducing labor, the main suitable you will get is that it will push you over the sting once you're approximately to flow in any case. the way this works is by using in fact giving you diarrhea. The cramps on your digestive device worsen the uterus and it will start to contract by means of inflammation. except you have already began to dilate and efface, then all you will get from the test is diarrhea and fake labor. as a ways by means of fact the baby pooping interior you, that hardly happens, yet whilst it does that's no longer by means of castor oil, yet to the baby's very own progression. some little ones, exceptionally ones that are previous due, could have a circulate in the womb. that's considered one of the justifications that the Dr sucks out the mouth and nostril in the previous the youngster even gets a raffle to take a breath, just to make confident there is no meconium for the baby to suck in on an identical time as that's respiratory.

I have heard some women swear by it. But if you see the majority of women who have tried it, they say it doesn't work. Personally, I think women who say it works, only went into labor by coiencidence after taking that stuff. It can cause you to be dehydrated which is not good for you and for your baby, it can cause the baby to have a bowel movement, cause vomitting, and diarreah. Honestly if your pregnant, miserable, impatient why would you want to take that stuff and then become pregnant, miserable, impatient, vomitting, and sitting on a toilet all day? I wouldn't take my chances. Don't try it. Try something else like walking, sex, pineapple, raspberry tea, wearing your favorite underwear, doing things that you enjoy etc etc.... I'd pass on the castor oil. Goodluck and congrats

There are alot of "remedies" that will supposedly help a woman go into labor but none of them have been proven. I have heard the same thing regarding castor oil (that it gives bad side effects). For information, check out www.whattoexpect.com it will list alot of the myths and what side effects they cause. There really is nothing that will speed it up.. the baby will come when its ready and you dont want to rush it.

My sister in law took it with her first baby its not good for you or the baby she ended up having a cesearian section i dont know if that was the cause or not but it didnt work anyway so she put herself through drinking it and it didnt help. my advice would be to just wait until the baby is ready to make an appearance you have waited thirty five weeks so what difference is another couple of weeks going to make.

I have only heard of it working on TLC's A Baby Story... we possibly could have seen a fluke case. In my case walking, and as embarrassing as it sounds, sex will speed along the process.

my sister was 40 weeks and tried EVERYTHING and it didn't work. My doctor always told me to walk and to have sex. NO LIE!!! but if you are only 35weeks its too early for you to have baby. He or she is still developing and growing!!! And baby will come when he or she is ready!
