I reckon the arbitrary age of consents probably about right, but like most things, some people are just thicker than others.
I've got an 8 year old cousin whos a bit of a brainy-bordering-on-weirdo who you could trust with explosives in theory (its like talking to a forty year old academic, seriously, hes a creepy kid), yet I work with people in their fifties who I personaly wouldn't trust with a box of damp matches. Er, yeah, its like that.
No hang on, Ive just read it through, that does all make sense

I lost mine at 17 but I wish I had waited till I was 19 - 20 not because of my age just because of the person I lost it to

At the rate of teenage pregnancies, it seems that todays yoofs think that 13 is the proper age.

But in an ideal world they'd all keep it til they were 18 or over!

It's different for most people. Some don't want to have sex until their wedding night, while others want to wait until it's really serious in a relationship, and they're in love for sure. Others think that 20 and 21 or perhaps younger is ready. So it all depends on whta your personal emotions tell you.

no right age, its when ever you feel ready (but over 16 is a good idea!)

hopefully it will be when you are mature enough to consider the consequences and care about the person you are with.

When you are emotionally mature enough to handle the fact that the day after you might not hear from that person again. And when you are educated enough to practice safe sex.
