Anyone have any fun gift ideas for a 10 year old boy that is financially disadvantaged. He is already receiving the necessity gifts (e.g. new coat, gloves, hat, clothes, etc.). Obviously, if he is in financial need he should get the necessities, but he's a 10 year old boy and allowed to want things other than those gift ideas. Can anyone think of something a 10yo boy may like for Christmas within a budget of $20-25?

umm.... you could get him a ball, or sport that he likes, some books, maybe the Hardy Boys?

I find that gift cards or money are wonderful. If you buy a 20 or 25 dollar gift card, and he goes shopping after Christmas when all the sales are on, your really giving him two or three times that amount. You sound like a wonderful person, hope this helps.

The gift really depends on the kid's interest. Some ideas though based on what my son like around that age and in that price range:

Lego Bionicles
Clothing with dragons, graffiti, or skate boarding
Video game (we were able to get some used games from BlockBuster)
Action figures (WWE, StarWars)

Now my nephew on the other hand wanted things like:

Science kits
Books
Puzzles

Hope that helps.
