Just wondering, because my sister just had hers a few days ago, and when she parts her legs, I can smell and REALLY horribly smell. And she still has her pants on!

That's not normal. Periods have a smell but it shouldn't be gross. Maybe she needs to bathe or change her napkins much more often and consider an antibacterial soap for use in the shower.

If she is doing this then maybe she needs to go to the doctor and get checked out for an infection.

Corn starch helps too with odor absorbtion.

Unfortunately...it happens. I get like that sometimes and I just take alot of showers when I am on my period. I also use the sented tampons to give me a little better smell. She just needs to wash down there and change the tampon more often. Its a girl thing. Some don't smell and others do. It is discharge and blood...its defianetly gonna have an odor!

Yes. Especially if you wear a pad. Also watch what you eat. Some foods will make your period smell worse.

You can have an odor when you have your period, yes. And ignore the people who said they should teach you about this stuff in school; these kinds of lessons should start in the home. So your parents or guardians should've taught her about increasing her hygiene habits once her period comes.

For some this is true, it is also possible that her period doesn't have anything to do with it. A yeast infection could also cause a smell.

Sometimes the odor is stronger, but keeping ones self clean and changing pads or tampons and underware regularly should solve the problem, unless an infection is present.

Suggest to her to use a powder while she has her period. We can't stop mother nature. Is she showering while she has her period? JW. They make certain powders to block odor. If it was a everyday thing then she should see the Doctor, but if it's only during her period suggest that without offending her.

It's the dead egg shedding from within. Tell her to use powder down south to help with the smell and moister

maybe it smells a tiny bit, but not when she has pants on! tell her gently that maybe she should see a doctor about that. or freshen up more often. say, every 4 hours at LEAST.
