Nature or nurture or something else? What are your thoughts?

Nature certainly, that decides what we look like, etc, and to a certain extent decides who will like you and things in life.

But after that, nurture. Who you grow up with, what happens to you, choices you make all make you the person you are I think.

For me, I was born two days before the cut off point to go into the school year below (my bday is 29th august, cut off is 31st) and if I had been born those two days later, I definetly think I would be a different person, just because I wouldn't have any of the close friends I have now, and so many things would have happened differently.

It's wierd to think that how you ended up now, right here as you are is just one of like, billions of possible ways things could have turned out.

I'll be quiet now :)

A combination of both. A person born into a loving family can grow to be a horrible human being. Where as a person born into a horrific environment can become a sincerely loving individual. While I believe it is a combination of both Nature and nurture, it does come down to a persons heart. Why people are born with drastically different levels of love for others is a mystery to me.

I've heard it said that we are the sum total of our life experience. How about as a man thinks, so he is? Also seems to be a combination of nature and nurture but according to studies of twins seperated at birth, nature seems to be the frontrunner over nurture.

Some of who we are is down to our genetic make up but we are mostly the sum of our experiences, we are made into who we are by the people and the enviroment around us

There are several factors that defines who a person is to be. It is basically your inherent self plus external influences. It is interesting because most people don't really understand themselves ha ha ha.
