I'm not pregnant or anything, but I love this name and wanted to see what you all thought.

Thanks =]

I'm not asking this because of the Miley/ Hannah Montana sensation on Disney, I'm just asking for opinions. I don't like the name/nickname because of Hannah Montana, so please remember that while anwsering =]

To be completely honest with you, my mind instantly jumps to Miley Cyrus, but were it not for the fact it seems her career has taken off and she's been cast into the limelight, I'd probably love the name a whole lot more. It's sadly becoming more commonplace because of the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus sensation, which saddens me, because it use to be so unique and unheard of. I love it though, as it is both feminine and beautiful, but until Miley is out of the spotlight, it will not lose those connections.

It honestly is a cute name, but since the rising of hannah montana it will be a popular pop culture name for the next few years. Everyone will associate the name with the young singer.

I really dislike it. It's trendy, silly, and ditzy. Plus, she'd blend right in with the Kylie's and Riley's out there. It's the stage name of Destiny Hope Cyrus, who plays Hannah Montana, so it's also really silly because everyone would think your child was named after a Disney Channel actress. Tacky! Besides, Miley is short for her nickname, Smiley.

It would be a cute nickname, but absolutely not a good given name!

It makes me think of Miley Cyrus which in turn makes me want to stab myself in the ears with a screwdriver. The obsession about this untalented teenybopper means that by the time your girl is in elementary school, there will be dozens of Mileys on the playground.

Possible Schoolyard Taunts: Biley Miley, Viley Miley or Piley Miley (the last on may only be funny in the UK)

Kinda cute for a nickname, but very trendy. Not so good for an adult name. I imagine there will be quite a few Mileys out there in a few years as lots of people might think it is cute right now.

Despite your personal reasons for liking this "name," fact is that it's a trendy new creation with little to no history of usage prior to the bubble-gum pop icon (who I'm sure you already know is NOT named Miley to begin with, so I won't even go there LOL). So to most people hearing it, it only manages to come across as an already-tiresome trend you'd expect to find on the future name lists of little girls still toting around Cabbage Patch Kids ... not actual adult parents with college or even high school diplomas. LOL Just in poor taste, plain and simple.

God! Why is the world so obsessed with Miley Cyrus????????????? If you look up the name on a baby name website, it says for meaning, "From the word Smiley. Generated from teen pop sensation Destiny hope Cyrus, who is called Miley."

I don't like Miley. Judging by how many people have mention this name on here recently, I think it's going to waaay too popular very soon here.
