Do you do this? If so, why?
If I find someone with an interesting question or answer I sometimes like to see if I can answer some of that person's questions.

Wow! I had no idea there were so many people who just want to cause problems. Honest, I did not. I guess I am lucky. I can understand this better. Thank you.

After reading some of these horror stories I have decided to also make my Q & A's private! This was not the reason that I posted this question but I apreciate the warnings! Thanks to all who have responded!

When you get three resolved questions deleted at once and they are all in a row, you start to see a problem.
People who haven't even been on Yahoo for months are getting violations. If people can pick through all of your questions and answers, some will report for whatever reason. I know for a fact that some report just because they don't like certain people and it has nothing to do with the questions or answers.
Private settings at least slows down how many violations a person gets.
Some people are too quick to call others trolls without understanding the situation.

My profile was made public for 1 1/2 years until I noticed trolls going through profiles & reporting in an attempt the get our accounts deleted / suspended. Now my profile has been made private for about 5 months now.
What a shame how someone's actions has to affect so many others!!!

In my own case, and in the cases of most of the people I'm familiar with here, it is not that we have anything to hide. Rather, it is because stalkers and trolls have followed us around, giving us headaches, heartaches, and thumbs-downs that we don't deserve. Today someone emailed me asking why mine were private, and I opened them...hopefully he will just answer the questions, and had no ulterior reason for wanting to see them. Very few people, if any, make their info private unless they have very good reasons.

I've always kept them private. I don't really know why, I just don't understand why someone would need to look though my Q&A? i'm not hiding anything, if I was I would block fans so nobody could look though them

Because not everyone has good intentions. Sorry if you do but as for the rest-sorry don't need the trouble/headaches. This is supposed to be fun!

No, I don't but many of the trolls here do...which leads me to believe only trolls make their Q&As secret so they don't let the rest of us see for ourselves what nincompoops they really are.
