Unfortunately that's just pregnancy. It gets worse after the baby is born. It's just the hormones. She can take ambien if she has a really hard time sleeping.

i had trouble sleeping, but it was more towards the end. i was so hot at night that i opened the windows during the winter and the attic door and refused to have the heat on. it's all hormone related and although i still feel warmer than i used to (i now have an 8 month old), it does get much better after pregnancy is over and it pretty much goes back to normal. if she really is concerned (or really can't sleep enough) call the doctor. it never hurts to be too careful. good for you for being concerned and supportive. best of luck with the little one.

Both of my pregnancies by 25 weeks or so I was so uncomfortable I thought I'd strangle someone if it'd help me sleep. Lots of pillows propped around her may help. Or if you have a recliner, have her give that a try as well. As for feeling hot...my husband nicknamed me "the human radiator" I was so hot all the time. Both are common, both suck, and there's not much you can do about either one other than keep trying new sleeping positions and wearing lighter clothing.

Yes, it's common and unfortunately it will probably only get worse the further along she gets. It's very hard to get comfortable and a lot of babies are most active at night. It's hard for mom to sleep when baby's having a party! I would suggest using lots of pillows ( behind her back, between her knees) and see if that helps her to be more comfortable. They do also make pregnancy pillows that some women find helpful.
Congrats~

i am 26 weeks and have had trouble sleeping I believe its just pregnancy... I WOULD NOT recommend taking anything without asking a doctor first.... I usually put a pillow between my legs and it helps a little just make sure she is not eating a big meal before bed and you can give her a massage or something to relax her i find that really helpful

I'm 23 weeks along with my 2nd and I have a really hard time sleeping too. I never had this problem with my daughter. I've tried a body pillow which helps a little.

yes that is common, in fact I experienced those symtoms, with my baby girl I just had, I just made sure my enviroment was cool, and comfortable, the best way I could. Tell her to try sleeping on her side with a fan in front on her.

First of all, I think it's cute how concerned you are. Remember your wifes body has become housing for a baby that is constantly growing. She's going to be uncomfortable, and hot and miserable.

Yes common. Wouldn't you feel uncomfortable if you had a little person growing inside of you? :)
I had the same problem but if you feel like it is a concern, talk to her dr about it.

She shouldn't take any kind of medication without talking to her gyn first.
How about a relaxing bath with lavendar bubbles, then you rub her back or legs or whatever aches, playing soothing music? That would have worked for me.
