You needed a lawyer the moment they showed up at your door. I would look for one if at all possible.

Sometimes what we perceive to be right and wrong can be different from what others perceive it to be. If everything in your home is functioning as well as you think it is, then I'm sure your counselor will confirm that fact. If not, then you should try to keep an open mind to the possiblility that maybe there are some things you could be doing better as a parent. After all, being a parent is one of the most difficult and important jobs any of us will ever have, and if we're honest, we could all use a little guidance now and then. Just as a side note - if you feel at all angry or upset about what I just said - then you probably definately need the counseling.

They are not really forcing you to go. They are giving you a choice but the alternative is not appealing. Obviously they thought there was something going on that merited counseling.

YES! They are violating your rights as a parent & a human being, howeer, child services has their office located right next to god, & they can do anyting they want to you & your family; & anything you do in retaliation is considered as madness on our part & you will be sent to counselling for it!!!
