Our website was disabled by these a-holz today. I Googled the names and it looks like they just go around doing this. It also looks like it's not illegal because they didn't do it to steal money. (The fuddy duddies in Congress really need to start learning about the internet but that's another rant) Anyway, is there any purpose to this? Are we safe to re-install our site? It's mostly just a Snitz forum.

They're also using alfahack.com, though the url doesn't go anywhere.

Hey, I work for a hosting company in the UK and we've just recieved a complaint about this guy hacking a forum. After going thru the access logs, I managed to find his IP and his internet provider so if anyone's interested in pursuing him, here u go :

IP used on 05-december-2007 at 16:20GMT - 85.97.130.195
Internet Service Provider - TTNet
Country (per IP registrar): TR [Turkey]
City (per outside source): Ankara

His ISP website is http://www.ttnet.net.tr/
you would need to speak turkish to get around it tho. What he does is illegal even if it's not for personal profit. He's using a php exploit to gain admin priviledges on forums and deletes all the content.

Hope this helps
