34 is basically how many inches around the back you are and a,c,d ect are the cup size a being the smallest and it goes on...x

I work in retail and bras just happen to be my special area and here is how to measure for the correct size, 1 measure with a fabric measuring tape (the soft non metal kind) around the ribs just under the bust and write that down, 2 measure the fullest part of the bust about 1 or 3 inches above the last measurement and Do Not Pull The Tape tight you wont get a correct size, then and write down the inches again, now here is the code to defuse those numbers
the letter in a bra size stands for the cup size which is the second set of numbers, if it is 1" more than the first numbers (the bust line measurement which is the numbers in a bra size) = A, 2" more = B, 3" more = C, 5" more = D, 6" more = DD

Well, she is obviously bigger on both the ribcage and the cup size.
34C typically means a ribcage meausurement of 30 inches and measuring 37 inches around the boobs*
38DD typically means a ribcage measurement of 34 inches and measuring 43 inches around the boobs*
*That is if the person is wearing the correct bra size. Lots of women don't understand bra sizing and so they end up wearing the wrong size.

38 dd is larger than 34C. The number is inches around the chest the letters indicate the cup size, which indicates the size of the breasts themselves.....d is larger than c
however the person overall would be larger as well because 38 is larger than 34

Bra sizes go in alphabetical order. A is small, B is a bit bigger, C is a bit bigger than that, and so on. Normally one of the biggest sizes is a DD.

DD is bigger than a C.
and a 38DD much, much, much bigger and a 34C!

38DD is like almost as big as it gets, I would hate to be that big I'm a 34b and how does your gf not know which is bigger? jus curious cuz most women know that.
