Can't he back down gracefully? Is he so determined to start a war with Iran, too? Evidence says they stopped four years ago, with the nuclear plans.
He claims they are still a potential threat! I think he is getting paranoid.
Is he going to claim that Libia, or Syria is doing it next?
He won't say anything to Saudi Arabia, about their justice system, as far as that rape victim, but he still wants to plan an attack on Iran.
How much more damage is he going to do to his own administration, before the Republican put a gag on him.?
He is an embarrassment to the United States, every time he opens his mouth.
When will he stop? He won't be happy, until we are embroiled in World War Three?

And the Republicans back him no matter what!
What does it take anyway?

Bush just doesn't want to ADMIT that he was wrong. If you've noticed, him and Hadley are trying desperately to spin this as proof positive that something right happened in their tenure. (I was busy laughing when I heard this one.)

They're still trying to say that Iran remains "dangerous" but they won't say WHY now.

It's just amusing how--when caught with your pants down--Bush can't accept defeat no matter what.

And every time he opens his mouth, he further damages himself as a world leader and the US's standing in the international community.

(Please pay attention to the fact that the GOP candidates have remained largely SILENT on the NIE report.)

I have to concour with SFC_Olli on the facts about this Iran has caused mnay casualties in Iraq. There is no solid proof they aren't still working on nuclear plans. and they are trying to wipe out Isreal. No the President isn't being paranoid he's doing what needs to be done to keep us safe. as for the fact that the Republicans back him it's no worse than the dems. backing people like Clinton.

The reality here is that the NIE revealed the strong possibility that Iran had ceased its Nuclear Weapon programs several years ago. So, a big sigh of relief right? No. Not quite yet.
If this is correct intelligence (bear in mind, we had 'correct' intelligence brought before Clinton and Bush that Bin Laden was planing on attacking the US, and Clinton continued to make defense/intelligence cuts...so, if you are looking to hate on once Intelligence report, than you have to hate on them all), than Iran is not the threat we thought them to be. Therefore, the leverage they were looking to utilize on the negotiating table regarding Iraq's developement and the lifting of the current embargoes on them since the late 70s, is gone. This means the now abandoned Nuclear Weapons Program may very well need to be reinstated in order for Iran to regain the international and region clout they have labored over the past 3 years to build up. So, the release of this information may force their hand as we have essentially called their bluff. So, lets put our partisanships aside and approach this like decent, intelligent human beings. Because the number one reason our security will be compromised within this country is that we as voters allowed partisanship to cloud our judgement. On our end, lets see to it we do not continue to act like sheep regarding this very serious issue. (yes, everyone knows I hate on liberals, largely cause it is fun, but these international issues are no joking matter and they demand a unity to exist between us that transcends partylines!!)
So the President is operating off of a very sound, disciplined strategy that has removed the bluff card from Iran which will serve as a brief stabalizer to the region....but this does not preclude Iran from seeking to restart their nuclear program...as the next rationale step for them would to do just that...except this time they won't tell anyone...it will just be a nuclear test in the middle of the desert that will awaken the world to the reality of their capabilities. Iran won't have to directly threaten Israel, Saudi Arabia or Iraq...just the mere ownership of these weapons will be enough to put the ball back in their court.
So, as I said...do not breath a sigh of relief. We are not out of the woods yet. This is too delicate and volatile a situation to think for a moment it is over.

And the people who bring you this news are the same ones that said Saddam had WMDs. I'm sorry, I just don't trust the intelligence agencies any longer. They leak like a sieve and they haven't gotten anything right in a long time. This is a case of fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Unless he whistles up his demons and creates another war he will certainly go down as the worst President in history.

Iran is still responsible for American lives in Iraq,

Iran is still enriching uranium.

Iran still had the blueprints for a bomb.

Iran still wants Israel wiped out

And you want to believe that your President is a liar?
