They can be killed. I lived in a duplex and when the person next door moved out, she had them and when they sprayed her side they all came over to my side. My landlord bought me some spray called "Bengal" for roaches and I took everything out of my kitchen cabinets and sprayed them down and he did the same next door. I repeated this again in 2 weeks to get any of the eggs that they drop before they die or an existing ones that might be in the walls. I never had them again and I lived there 2 more years afterwards. If you see any at all treat immediately because they multiply so fast

Usually people refer to the fact that radiation cannot kill them meaning that if a nuclear war were to happen, the only thing left living would be cockroaches (and Michael Jackson).

Also, they reproduce so fast that when you kill many, they keep coming because they spawn quickly.

Bug spray and cleaning the places where they are found. Lots of times they come around because of dirty unkempt area where food is accumulating. If you can start scrubbing and use bleach or Lysol. Use the bug spray too. Spray under the fridge too. Pore bleach down your drains from time to time.

Ant and Roach spray will kill them but they are hard to get to because they hide behind the walls and cabinets.
