iv got a hd enabled tv. iv set up the cables to the tv as stated in the user guide, however no picture will appear on my tv. if i set it to just normal tv and use just the 3 pins it works fine. any ideas why it will not work on hd?

switch the cable back to HD. As you can see there are many coloured prongs on the end of the cable. As normal put the red, yellow, and white into the normal slots. Now you have to put extra red, green, and blue prongs next to the other bit next to it. Put them in too. When this is done, take the red and white cable out of the first bit u did and place then next to the green, red, and blue, coz there shud be space for them. So you should end up with a red next to a white, next to another red, a green, and a blue, and the yellow should be left on its own.

This is a common problem. You need to connect the machine to your tv using a HDMI cable. Its possible you;re using the basic cable that comes with the machine, right? Get a HDMI cable and use that. The machine should then automatically adjust its settings to recognise the HD tv.

If it's anything like the PS3, it has to be configured when You use it on a HD telly. Look in the instruction manual, it might involve holding the power button for 5 seconds when You switch it on.
