Well, ever Christmas at my hosue is great but the one that stands out is one about 5 years ago.
Like always,my girls were up at 5am waiting to open gifts and it was snowing--very rare here to have snow on Chrsitmas here.
We lost power shortly after 5am, so I went around the hosue lighting candles every where, it was such a warm glow in the house.
We all gathered around the wood stove and opened up the gifts.
I guess I liked it so well because that was a first and there was just something about the glow of the candles, no nosie but the girls laughter, it was just great and one that I will never forget.

Christmas 1946 when I was born in the snow MUST have been the best for my mum !
Each Christmas is special in it's own way and gets better as the years go by -in fact every day is like Christmas Day in my house with all the family around !
(The worst was 16 years ago when my father-in-law died on Christmas Day)

The best christmas I ever had was probably about 5 years ago. It had snowed so much that our car got stuck in the snow on the way to my grandparent's house. Although this may sound like it sucked, it was the best fun I had ever had because i was a little kid, and who doesn't love it when it is actually a "White Christmas"

1975, it was cold and snowy, My Nan and Grandpa stayed with us (both sadly missed now!) I got two Tonka trucks, Mum's cooking was perfection. Queen were number 1 and I listened to Greg Lake's song before going to bed and thought I should look into the sky for Father Christmas all night in the hope of seeing him on Christmas Eve, I lasted half an hour I swear I saw him flying in front of the moon!

I love them all, but when iw as 12 (I am the olest of 5), my parents put boots, wet shoe prints and a note from Santa (with disappearing ink...a lemon juice note (see below)..) in the livingroom..It was so much fun!
(Lemon juice note:
"write a letter using lemon juice on a Q tip. let it dry. Carefully, hold a lighter to the BACK of the letter and watch the words appear! Hold it JUST away from the paper...so it doesn't catch fire.)
