In my business knowledge is king ! That little bit of " useless "
information could be the key to putting a deal together so I treasure EVERY bit of information I get...

Yes, several things actually. I hated fractions in school but now it comes in handy especially when cooking. Also, I took Spanish only because it was required for college prep courses. I didn't think I would ever use that in everyday life until I moved to Los Angeles in 1994 and of course there are a lot of Spanish speaking people there. So I ended up being glad I took Spanish.

I don't believe in associating the word knowledge with useless.
any knowledge is worth knowing, for the very reason you listed: you never know when it might come in handy.

Algebra.

I was talking to an accountant and she said "you know the earnings, you know this figure, so you can come up with the percentage by doing the algebra." It was scary how everything snapped. I wish I'd had a math teahcer wise enough to use real world examples-

Yes, sewing, and crocheting and knitting (I live in So Cal, very warm) My mom taught me, never thought I would use it but it has been very comforting for me this last year. Anyone want a bedspread?

yeah that kind of crap wins me awards and contests all the time ... plus all kinds of geeky nicknames .. mainly "search engine" ... :) but i don't mind as long as the cash keeps coming in ... :))
