No, this is all beautiful in theory.
all the above people live in fairy land.
In reality, if something or someone gets under your skin, unless you are a yoga guru who can switch off and block off your emotions, chances are you will be bothered.

Yes that is true.
I've gone through this. There have been times where I've been hurt or bothered by words that people say , while I'm already upset, That wouldnt bother me normally. or I get upset by peoples opinions of me at time, when they are over critical about things or so negative in their views.
Then there are times I can let it all slide off my back, and go on with life, since after all it is really only their points of views or opions in life. Opinions are like a******s everyone has one.
So now I just grin at things let them bite if they must then brush them aside . As I know the truth about myself and that is what counts. It takes lessons and experiecens to get to the point of being able to just let things blowover you if you're a sensitive type of person.

Absolutely :-) but there has to be some level of rationality involved in order for you to truly move passed the thing that bothers you and not keep emotions bottled up...
After a while, the "someone" will suddenly seem completely unimportant...and the something will loose its value or hold over you.....
On another level; for people out there that believe in the "Evil Eye"..."Al 3ein".....I think its the same concept....if you don't believe in that sort of thing...and have pure intentions in life, then I don't believe that it can affect you in any way.....

I believe I'll bother you as much as you allow me to, Pinky.
I'm getting all hot and bothered myself.

Yes, and no.
I believe that to an extent that is true, but there are some things that are so hurtful that there is no talking yourself out of your feelings.
I have had people do or say things to me that, while I TRY not to let them bother me, I don't know how to just wipe the hurt out of my memory.
Also...what about people who have been abused, molested, etc.?

Good question Pinky....
Yes...I believe that and I have tested it in myself.
Many times pple try to make one react in the way they want, only for bothering another pple.it's only in ourselves to allow them or not.
To react in a way or another , depends only on the characteristics of each individual.
Sometimes one says to oneself that wont reply, or wont do what that pple says, ..........some pple can, but another more passionate cant avoid it.

Absolutely. I let things bother me so much that I panic and get very upset over very little things that shouldn't bother me half as much as they do.

the bother is coming from inside you, the bother isn't coming from the other person.
but it's not quite that easy. it's hard to stop the bother inside of you. it requires personal growth. i do it my meditation. once you are right with yourself things don't bother you anymore. the bother is inside of you.

Yep ! It's OUR choice as to how we react & unfortunately we sometimes make the wrong choice !
Self control doesn't necessarily come naturally & the sooner we learn how to exercise it , the more contented our lives will be .
