What's the point playing if one opponent has a handicap? Would a Connors win mean anything if Federer only got one serve?

Even I could win a significant number of points against Federer is he only got one serve. And I suck.

NO WAY !!!
you forgot some important facts. Connors is already 55, Fed is 26. Connors, even if he could win the 1st set (what i absolutely doubt), wouldn't be able to go over 3 sets.

and now the most important fact you missed - Fed has by far the best 2nd service on the tour and this alone is enough to beat Connors easily.

you're a hopeless dreamer!

A word of advice: Don't bet your life savings on this despite your guarantee. Connors was good a number of years ago. Racquets and players have changed a lot since then. Borg tried to make a comeback using his old wooden racquets and got trounced after he retired. Hingis came back, but could not really compete with the top players.

NO WAY IN HELL. How can anyone even compare Federer to any of the old time tennis greats? I swear I'm beginning to think the people that frequent Yahoo answers don't play tennis at all.
Even if Federer was to serve underhand for 3 sets, the score would be 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 Federer.

They really aren't in the same class. Federer hits much harder, has every type of shot, volleys well, serves well, and is one of the fastest players on the circuit. Conners, even in his prime, struggled against players who could make him hit a low forehand (remember Ashe's memorable upset), and Federer could give him slice after slice. If Conners came in he would be passed. If he stayed back, Federer could outlast him in baseline rallies. And remember Conners' soft serve? Do you seriously think Federer would be unable to force Conners on the defensive?
Because Conners is 55, and no 55-year-old can keep up with a fit 20-something, Conners would tire quickly.
One serve or two, it would be an embarrassing experience for Conners.

I'll call it LockDown or something like that. 1 ~ Cade & Murdoch with a clothesline pin on Moore. 2 ~ Mickie with the Long kiss goodnight. 3 ~ Jeff with the Whisper in the Wind & pin. 4 ~ Abyss with the BlackHole slam. 5 ~ HHH with the trademark Pedigree to take out HBK. Excellent line up for a ppv ~ 9/10.

Connors does not stand a chance. He just had hip replacement surgery for goodness sakes. Get someone who is not injured, like Mac. That might be interesting.

I wouldn't pay to see this match. I might take a peek if it were free though. Connors wouldn't have a chance. He would need to have the double lines also.

Connors wasn't even the best player of his generation, let alone a worthy opponent for Federer, arguably the greatest player ever.

How about Connors vs. Federline?
At least that might be fair!
