Six degrees of seperation style?

I'm working on mine.... Porcupine Tree makes a "The Bends" reference in Pure Narcotic so I have Porcupine Tree and Radiohead link... now I have to think about Pink Floyd.

Can you link your three favorite bands?

The Blue Oyster Cult song "O.D.'d On Life Itself has a line that says
"The stairway to heaven was made up in hell"
Which Brings us to Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Page who is an adept and follower of Alister Crowley.
Ozzy Osbourne (The lead singer of Black Sabbath) has a song called "Mr Crowley" Thus completing our link through My 3 favorite Bands
Blue Oyster Cult
Led Zeppelin
&
Black Sabbath

This is kinda jacked up, but:

Kiss and Aerosmith toured together a few years back after competing with each other for much of the 70s. Now here's where it gets silly.

In 1980something when Steven Tyler was laying down the vocals for "Cry Me a River" on the Rock and a Hard Place album, Jon Bon Jovi was literally sweeping the floors in the studio and has commented that he was inspired that day to become a star.
10 or so years later Jon Bon Jovi commented on the high quality vocals that a young Danny Vaughn was laying down for the first Tyketto album.

So there you go- Kiss, Aerosmith, Danny Vaughn

NP: "Fly Away" (live) - Vaughn

Guns N' Roses. Babes in Toyland. Nirvana.

The members of Guns N' Roses did not get along with the members of Nirvana, in fact there was an incident at an awards ceremony where a fight nearly occured. The frontman of Nirvana, Kurt Cobain [rest in peace] was married to Courtney Love who had previously been in a band with the frontwoman of Babes in Toyland - Kat Bjelland

edit; I have another.
In the Guns N' Roses video for "Don't Cry" there is a Nirvana cap/hat besides Axl Rose while he is in the therapist chair. A year or so after the video for "Don't Cry" was released, Nirvana appeared on a documentary called "1991: The Year Punk Broke" in which Babes in Toyland also appeared.

Rdiohead covered Pink Floyd's "wish you were here"

the man behind the band ALL SMILES, Jim Fairchild, plays guitar for Modest Mouse when they are on tour, johnny marr also plays guitar for Modest Mouse, however, he was previously in a band called The Smiths who sang a song, "headmaster ritual" which was covered by RADIOHEAD, who also covered the song "something" by THE BEATLES.

Simon Wright used to be the drummer of AC/DC. Later on he would also drum for Dio. Ronnie James Dio is the lead singer for Dio, who would later sing for Black Sabbath.

Donald "Duck" Dunn played bass in John Fogerty's solo band. Duck has also played for Booker T and the MGs. Anton Fig has played for both Booker T and the MGs and Frehley's Comet. Ace Frehley natually played in Frehley's Comet. Ace is better known as the guitarist from Kiss. Eric Singer has played for both Kiss and Black Sabbath."

you can link a lot to Black Sabbath I guess

Blue Oyster Cult, Dio, and Iron Maiden:
Iron Maiden toured with Dio in 2003 on the Gimme' Ed 'Til I'm Dead Tour, Dio's bassist was an incredible musician named Rudy Sarzo, the last time I saw BOC live (a few months ago with Deep Purple) they came out on stage with a new member- lo and behold it was Dio's bassist Rudy Sarzo!

Nirvana - Kurt Cobain mentioned Freddie Mercury in his suicide note = Queen - Freddie Mercury wrote a song "Life Is Real" in memory of John Lennon = The Beatles

All 3 bands have members who are dead.
