Kevin Garnett for Ryan Gomes, Al Jefferson, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff, Gerald Green and 2 picks, indeed is the worst trade in NBA history

its not like the wolves didnt know if kg would have good future or not-

kobe for divac- hornets didnt know that bryant would be good

so the wolves- already knew KG was the best player in the nba, so therefore that celts wolves trade is more worse than the lakers, hornets trade, hornets had no clue

The Wilt and Kareem trades were awful. Kobe put a gun to the Hornets' head, so that's kind of unfair.

The Sixers managed, on one day, to trade Moses Malone and the picks that became Brad Daugherty and Shawn Kemp for Jeff Ruland, Roy Hinson and Terry Catledge. Ruland was the only guy that could really play, but his knee promptly exploded.

They didn't do much better when they traded Barkley and Iverson.

this wasn't a trade but close enough....
When the Portland Trailblazers drafted Sam Bowie(WHO???)
Over............MICHEAL JORDAN

In the 1984 draft, the Portland Trailblazers drafted Sam Bowie, a 7'1 center/power forward from Kentucky with the second overall pick. The first pick was center Hakeem Olajuwon. The third pick was Michael Jordan, a 6'6 swing player from North Carolina. While Olajuwon has gone on to have a Hall of Fame career and Michael Jordan is considered by many as the greatest player of all-time, Bowie led a long but unremarkable career

Charlie Scott for the Lakers #1 pick, which became Larry Bird.

Trading Paul Westphal for Charlie Scott. Westphal blossomed in Phoenix, but Scott's first year in Boston ended with a Celtic championship. Scott later became part of another deal that indirectly brought Larry Bird to Boston.

Trading Charlie Scott to Los Angeles for Kermit Washington, Don Chaney and a No. 1 draft choice. The No. 1 choice turned out to be Bird.

1976 gail goodrich from the lakers to the jazz.

this isn't exactly a trade. goodrich, the leading scorer of the lakers signed a deal with the jazz. he was a free agent at that time but the lakers still retained rights on him. after some legal duelling, the lakers agreed to the compensation of 1st round draft picks for the '78 and '79 rookie draft.

the jazz wanted goodrich to be partnered with pete maravich giving them the best backcourt in all of nba. unfortunately, in '78 he suffered a career ending injury and the jazz collapsed as a result and ended up with a high lottery pick which now belonged to the lakers. lakers won the ensuing coin toss (that's was how it was done back in those days) and guess who the lakers drafted. magic johnson.

Dominique Wilkins for Danny Manning. The Hawks traded the greatest player in their franchise's history during one of their best seasons ever. Horrible move.

The trade a few years ago on Tyson Chandler's draft night where the Bulls traded Elton Brand for Tyson Chandler, he became a decent player but not in anyone's world was he gonna be on the same level as Elton Brand
