You should buy the string that you usually use (Dominants, Evah Pirazzi, Infeld, etc). Know which string (G, D, A, or E) string that you broke. From left to right are G, D, A, and E. If you do not know how to change strings, take it to a local violin shop and watch the luthier (the person who works there) change the string so that you can do it the next time. Make sure you ALWAYS have extra strings.

You need to buy some strings (I would suggest the Dominant brand) and replace it, or get someone to replace it for you.

Uhm...get a new string and re-string it (might be time for a whole new set...they should be changed every couple of months).
