Cutting your cuticles makes your nails grow faster??

I agree. Do not cut your cuticles. It will not help your nails at all, but it can lead to an infection. And the cuticle will grow back thicker than it was.

probably not. and you really shouldn't cut your cuticles. That can lead to infection. It is better to push them back with a cuticle tool instead.
