Oh hold on ... I was just downloading music ... sending an IM ... and answering your question all in about 5 seconds flat. All right so ... what exactly is this "dial up" now? Does that mean your phone has no speed dial?

Ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Good Lord woman! What on Earth are we gonna do with you? Hold on ... I better slow down ... W-h-a-t ... o-n ... E-a-r-t-h (Ohhh, OK! I'll stop teasing you now. No more tears! lol)

I haven't had dial up in over a decade! lol I'd have to shoot myself. I am one of those types that will pay whatever I have to for speed ... so even when DSL first came out and was hugely expensive .. there was Christee on her measly salary paying the big bucks for it! Now luckily it isn't so expensive ...

Girl ~ we gotta move you up in the world. You're a woman ... can you picture the beauty of playing online and talking on the phone at the same time?? PRICELESS!

May high speed internet find its way to you this Christmas!

lol

Peace!

Here's another hankie, GEM:) I suffered without it for a long time too. I think the worst thing is knowing the technology is there, and the frustration of being just one notch away from it. Do you have your computer optimized and operating at the fastest speed possible? You could try defragmenting and also the self diagnosis features to see if any unneeded programs might be slowing down the processor. I feel your pain. I don't have the direct cable service which is the fastest available, I have the high speed modem service. Even with the service I have, my computer runs slowly at times. Good luck!

I don't know why people make fun of us dial-uppers! I don't think it's that slow! Maybe if I WERE to use a high speed one I would notice but I never have so I don't!! Peace!

I know your pain. I still have dial up at home, but hardly ever get online there. I just use the computer (high-speed) at the office.

We have no internet at all at home now. Yesterday BellSouth made the move to the new AT&T and we've been down since 4pm. They're experiencing "an unusually long hold time". My kids are foaming at the mouth and I'm all shaky just thinking about it . . .
