I definitely want an MBA (not an MS) but I don't know what major to choose. Maybe finance? I have my undergrad degree in accounting from a FL university and I want to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in NY state after receiving my MBA.

Most good MBA programs want you to work for 2-4 years before starting the MBA program. As one who had a lot of work experience, I can tell you it really makes your MBA more worthwhile. It also helps you determine your concentration. Most programs are very similar the first year--you take all the basics and then specialize in the second year.

Stick with your current study area. Get an MPA (Professional Accountancy) or an MTX (Taxation). Accounting is one the the most in-demand area of business!
