As everyone else has said, they can track everything.
However, the way to get out of it is to be productive at work.
I worked one place where an elderly, slower worker was fired for passing on a rascist joke email. Within the same month, one of the highest performing sales people wasn't even given a warning for browsing porn half the day. They both worked in the same department.

Yes they can and they will, if they are a huge company you can be sure they have someone with IT skills employed specifically to keep an eye on their employees. There is no difference between Pilfering from the stock of the factory / store etc,etc and doing whatever you are up to. And by the way you will find it very hard to get employment in anything involving computers for the future and that's what the future is all about. Stop now and pray for a miracle. Think up a cunning plan.

Yes they can, if they want. They can easily log every page you visit, every link you click, and the times at which you do these. They can also log if they want which program you use, for how long, every file you access and how long you have it open for.
If researching things on the internet isn't part of your job then you shouldn't be doing it, and is probably exactly why they would be monitoring it.
So many of these questions pop up on here, as an IT Manager, it really makes me wonder why so many people are obsessed with trying to get away with stuff and not do the work they are being paid to do?? Also makes me think that I should start monitoring the networks and computers I am responsable for alot closer...
FYI, if a company and network wants to monitor you, they will, no proxy, remote control, or any such program or device will stop them. And will probably get you sacked alot faster for trying to bypass company security instead of just slacking off.

No, they cannot. First of all, Private Browsing is called "Private" for a reason -- it does not save any of your history, information, etc. But the only two ways I know that are possible are: 1. Your company computer administrator may have installed a keylogger, which records each keystroke you press in your keyboard. 2. Your company computer administrator may have recorded the screen 24/7 with some kind of a screen recording program.

If its a large company they are monitoring your Internet use and logging it. Clearing out history wont help as it based on ports and the traffic that uses them. So all port 80 or 443 I am sure is going through an appliance that is logging your internet usage. However, generally they don't look at how much or often but rather "what" and if its inappropriate at work, IE porn or Ebay ect. Look at your electronic device usage policy and see exactly what it says and act accordingly.

Yes, course they can.
If you delete your history it should be ok - unless they check their backups - though I doubt they will.
You should be careful though as a friend of mine got fired for sending personal emails too much and being on the internet.
Most companies accept that occasionally you're going to pay bills online, book holidays, find a plumber, but not that you're on here or facebook or emails all day!!
