Ive just read about social phobia and most of the symtons are right, i think i have had it for awhile and its really getting in the way of most things like getting a job and meeting people.
is there anything that i can do to stop it? dont just say go see a doctor

Seek help from your doctor but try to work it out without meds if you can. You can also listen to some of these people below and ask them questions, become interactive with them, im sure they can give you a lot of advice.

The only thing I can tell you is that the longer you go without human interaction, the more difficult it becomes to integrade. If it's a new problem, fight it with every nerve you've got.

i think cognitive-behavioral therapy, combined with medication in some cases, is the most successful treatment for most social anxieties. in any case, getting a firm diagnosis would be a helpful first step and then you can get help from there. best wishes.

MOST LIKELY you are just overreacting and are a little bit of an introvert or something.

But if it really does worry you ask your doctor and he/she will make references to see a therapist if they feel it is needed.

a few ways

1. you could go and see a shrink so they can give you meds, cause thats pretty much there answer to every person's problem

2. you could try group therapy

3. you could just put yourself out there and live your life
