Who do you think will win the Heisman this year? Do you think Colt Brennan of University of Hawaii has a chance? I think he is a quality quarterback but has no chance, simply because he is from the WAC and playing for Hawaii. His stats are extreme, but i think there is a bias towards other players because of the school name. And it's too bad that Dennis Dixon injured his knee, and is probably out of the running. Chances are Tim Tebow will win. What do you think?

I don't mean to call out "Aviator" when he said that they almost lost to Washington proving that they can't handle a real team, but what does that say about USC almost losing to Washington then? Would you say that USC can't handle a real team then?

And if anything, leading a team to a comeback win, against any team, shows that they are just the better team and that the quarterback has the star quality.

brennan will most likely be invited. tebow is a sophmore, and however much everyone thinks he deserves it, i don't think he will get it. maybe next year. i think mcfadden might win it. for sure would have been dixon if not for his injury.

I hope Tebow wins it and I definitely don't want Brennan, Brohm, Ryan, or Woodson to win it, here's why.

What usually happens to the winner of the Heisman? That's right, not much after the award. Tebow can have it, he's a great college player.

I'd rather watch the other QB's have an NFL career. Don't get me wrong, Tebow is a great college player but not even close to NFL caliber at the QB position. At least not yet, he's young so you never know.

No, I'm not superstitious I'd just rather be safe than sorry.

DARREN MCFADDEN remember that name folks, your gonna be hearing it for a long time in the NFL. Darren mcfadden is a runner, a good runner, maybe one of the best I've seen aside from the likes of hersh walker. Tim teblow as we all should know is a big name on all the sports channels and websites, but that's as far as it goes in my book, To be the heisman trophy winner, you have to play like a winner too. D-mac has single handidly carried the hogs through the 2007 season, including one of the biggest feats of all against #1 ranked and future national champions LSU. That my friends is something teblow couldn't even do. The question for me is will these voters look at the stats, the performances throughout, or just who gets there face blasted across the media the most. Not to mention D-mac is a senior, he deserves it more than teblow for that reason too.

Chances are you are right, unfortunately for Brennan many people do look at the university they attended even though they might say no. So yeah Tim Tebow will more likely be the winner of the Heisman, but don't forget that the QB for Mizzou (can't remeber his name) is still in contention and pretty close too, but what Tebow does is just amazing!

Of course it is bias against a QB from the WAC. Their game against Washington proved that they can't handle real teams. Washington was last in the Pac-10 and almost beat Hawaii. Think about a team that is in the top 5 on a BCS conference. He is a consideration, but there are more players who have played well in real conferences that will win.

His stats are solid, yet no longer super. i think of he specially have been given the invite because of the fact he's the main severe offensive participant on the #a million team. I help Gerhart or Suh for the win. in case you elect to look at a season that replaced into far greater constructive than Ingram's that did no longer even get Heisman attention, look at J.J. Arrington's 2004 season for Cal. He rushed for 2018 yards and 15 TDs (yardage replaced into the 10th proper interior the historic previous of faculty soccer). He averaged approximately a hundred and sixty rushing yards consistent with interest, rushed for over one hundred yards each interest all 365 days, averaged 7.0 yards consistent with carry, and the effect? HE WASN'T EVEN INVITED TO THE HEISMAN ceremony. merely is going to instruct that your Heisman possibilities are high seventy 5% the place you went to college, 25% how solid of a participant you're. Ingram is a finalist because of the fact he's a extremely solid (no longer super) participant on an excellent Alabama team. EDIT: Ingram merely gained. At this factor, i do no longer even understand why I nevertheless care correct to the Heisman because of the fact that's this type of ridiculous award that's offered to the incorrect guy virtually each 365 days.

the only two that have a chance, thanks to media and fan bias, are Tebow and McFadden, howver In my opinoin there are more canidates:

Dennis Dixon (My Pick and apparantly Troy Smiths as well)

Todd Ressing (Kansas has one loss since he has started)

Chase Daniels

Colt Brennan

Kevin Smith (700 more yards and 10 more TDs than McFadden, which is enough of a disparity that, no matter where he plays, he SHOULD be neck and neck with Mcfadden, yet gets no Doak Walker nomination)

Micheal Crabtree (I don't care where you play if you have less reciving TDs than only 30 qbs have passing TDs)

Sam Bradford (He's Freshmeat so he'll have more chances)

as I was typing this I heard that Troy Smiths top 3 are

1. Dixon 2. McFadden 3.Brennan

mine would be

1.Dixon 2. Brennan 3.McFadden

i like brennan i think he will be great in the nfl but as u said hes wac and i bet if hawaii were a big 10 team theyd have a NC shot this year dixon lost cause his knee so its darren mcfadden pr tebow i personally think tebow is terrible and wont make it in the nfl and i think mcfadden is a great RB who will play great in an nfl level mcfadden ran all over lsu and i8s a top rusher tebow is the first to have 2o passing and rushing TD's if the heisman was given out after the bowls it would be so much easier to tell but i think mcfadden should win it put they will probaly give it to tebow

Well Colt Brennan is one of the best QBs in the country but he will not win the award the reason being that he plays for Hawaii. My favorite to win the Heisman is Tim Tebow.

I think the best player in the country, ie first pick in the draft, is McFadden. But Tebow put up some crazy numbers, so he'll probably get it. McFadden 2nd, Chase Daniel 3rd then Brennan or Ray Rice. If Dixon was healthy he would be 3rd, ahead of Daniel.

I like brennan, but to me it's

1. Tebow,
2. McFadden
3. Daniel
4. White

i don't think I even need to explain why. Dixon would be in it if he was healthy, and you may be able to make a case for Bradford, or Ray Rice or Matt Ryan, but to me the Big 4 are the Big 4, and in that order.
