Yea, use Windows movie maker is a free and easy way, but you can not retain animations transitions and audio track that a really PowerPoint should have.
So here I recommend you use some professional tool like Acoolsoft PPT2YouTube.

Before converting, please put the music and the PowerPoint in the same folder, in a word, everything in the same folder to make sure you PowerPoint on YouTube with animations, transitions and audio track retained.
Hope it can help you!

Hi,

If you have ready access to a Mac, in PowerPoint use File > Make Movie.

Then open iMovie 08 and use File > Import Movies. Import the movie.

On the iMovie Share menu choose YouTube.
