I get high speed Internet for $18.95 per month. I didn't think that was too costly. I have an old computer, though, so it's sometimes still slow, but I can't imaging how slow it would be with dial-up. My company is I2000 or I2K out of Grand Rapids, MI.

I still use dialup. I tried the air card through my cellphone provider because they said it would be faster than dialup - it wasn't. Also, at my cellphone provider's suggestion, I tried using the mobile link using my actual cellphone hooked to the computer, and it wasn't any better. In my situation, I live close to the fire department and the rescue squad, so probably their interference slowed up the service I was receiving from my cellphone provider as I kept losing the signal - very aggravating!
I have a very old computer, and having to use dialup slows down the speed. I can't even use IM because when I installed it, my computer slowed down to a snail's pace! So, until I can afford a newer computer and can afford DSL, I'll just have to grin and bear it! {{Smiling}}

I don't, I use comcast high speed internet. It works just like dialup, no problem with it. We use to have dialup but when we got a new computer it came with comcast high speed internet for free.

Netzero
Look them up
Broad band works much the same but it is digital and you need to be near a hub
IF you are too far away it does not work
Call a local provider and ask things like speed and file capability
