In the news yesterday evening, NPR and CNN, they're talking recession that the Fed can't stop. If they are right, who will it hurt and who will it help?

I have been doing research not on recession but depression. Any presidential candidate that becomes president will be hurt. You really need to see where the root of all of this began.

Presuming a recession does come along the incumbent will always be hurt and the opponent will benefit by it. In the present case I would say anyone running against the Republican candidate will suffer through guilt by association.

Ron Paul has been warning america about the coming difficulties financially americans will have since he started his campaign it would be a shame to see it happen before he got into office to reverse course -
But the dem candidates would benefit also . thats what got bushs father out of office after one term was a recession even if he did make policy to reverse course it didnt happen fast enough
