Canada owns most of the Arctic although Russia has some territory. The Antarctic is shared by a multi-national agreement. The Sahara spans several countries and each owns their part of it - Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algerai are all within the Sahara.

well the 'arctic' is an ocean that freezes over with an ice cap. it is in international waters so no one 'owns' it, though the russians made a highly symbolic flag planting under 13000 ft. of water. not likely to be recoginzed by the international community, plus the u.s. (through alaska), canada, greenland, iceland, norway, and sweeden can all make similar claims to the arctic if you go by the reasoning of the russians.
the antarctic is 'owned' by the international community through various un/league of nations resolutions. it is supposed to be a place for scientific exploration for all nations of the world. though i think argentina makes the claim some of the surrounding islands and perhaps some of the continent belong to them.
the sahara is part of several n. african countries. morocco, libya, chad, egypt, sudan, and some of the little countries on the w. coast like liberia, ivory coast, have some territory that could be considered as part of the sahara.
go to wikipedia, or other reference/info site, if you want to get the story behind antarctic and arctic. law of the sea would probably apply amongst other international law. and check out a map to see what countries border the sahara. im sure there will be plenty of info on the arctic since the russians tried to plant a flag on some real estate (if it is still considered real estate when there is 2 miles of water on top of it) like some nations used to do about 5-600 years ago.
go to itar-tass.com or mosnews.com or en.rian.ru for news from russian news agencies. surprisingly they are all on the side of russia, kind of like the old soviet days of state run news agencies. they will certainly give you all the reasons they think they have a valid claim to the area.
-some of the websites might end in .ru instead of .com if they dont work for you.

Nobody owns the Arctic and Antarctic...there are treaties establishing various rights...but no ownership per se. The Sahara is spread over several parts of North Africa so spans many countries that "own" it. PEACE!

Artic and Antarctica are like the oceans. They are international territory. The Sahara crosses the boundaries of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, and The Sudan.

The artic is ice - technically "international waters".
There was a big international treaty about Antartica that basically says "nobody owns it":

The Sahara is a really big desert. It spans serveral African countries, each of which own the parts of it that lie within their borders.
