I had a favorite bakery in Southern California that my mom would get my birthday cakes from when I was a kid. One year during our marriage, he drove me back to that bakery and bought my birthday cake. That was sweet. I smile when I remember that.
I hoped someday we can be friends but by his own admission, he is till too immature to be my friend. We respect each other to make things easier for the kids. Nothing more.
Not buying him a wedding gift or anything...

Mostly I remember the ones that adored me without question!Sometimes we take love for granted.
I otherwise remember the feel of their skin and hair(all different believe it or not)and even their distinctive fresh scents.(only 2 special ones!)

The day he signed our divorce papers... that was a great feeling..

i hated my ex, he was self-centered and played video games almost all day. oh ya and when i had 104 fever he told me he'd check on me every 15 minutes or so...then he'd show up 2 hours later.

The way he was terrified of my cat. He would avoid her at all costs. It was hilarious. She hated him and one night when he fell asleep on the sofa snoring his head off... she sat on his chest, very delicately, and he woke up and just froze. He called out in this frail little voice 'Help'.... 'Help'. When I realised it was him calling I got up and saw this spectacle and she just blinked lazily at me and stayed put. It was as if she was saying 'Wouldn't you just love to raise this type of fear in him?'..... Ha ha ha ...

I miss how she she cheated on me with her best friend's boyfriend while I was deployed to Korea...those were good times...
