OSU, definately,,, they are so young this year.... a complete surprise that they are in the hunt.
LSU,,, Idk about that,, they didn't win SEC last year, if that is an indication.

I think OSU's team is better this year. Their defense is much quicker this year and they force turnovers more often. And of course, James Laurenitas is a mean machine! lol.
On the other side of the ball, I think Brian Robiskie and Brian Hartline are just as good as Ted Ginn Jr. and Anthony Gonzales were last year. Let's not forget Beanie Wells! That kid is ferocious. :-)
Troy Smith was a great QB last year. He was really dangerous when he was flushed out of the pocket- he could make plays when it looked like there was nothing going. He also didn't rattle easily. Boeckman is....evolving. He's consistent and the deep balls that he throws are dead on; so he's got his strong points.
I really don't watch LSU football (for obvious reasons), so I cannot really talk about them in depth. I did catch them here and there throughout the season and I based on what I saw, I think their last year's team was stronger. They dominated opponents. This year, they had a few games that could have easily gone the other way.

not sure about LSU, I remember a few games I believe it was the Auburn game last year watching them and maybe their bowl game, which is quite a difference from the beginning of the season to the end. I think are about the same this year.
Buckeyes were slightly better last year, but they are a young team, and if they made it to the National Championship this year with a team that will be good with experience, wait till they get those 4 and 5 star recruits coming in next year.

Yes, LSU had Jamarcu Russel who was the number pick of the 2007 draft and dwane bowe. They also had the same defensive players last year and this year
While OSU on the other hand lost there entire offensive repertoire. Ted Jinn Jr, Troy Smith (heisman winner) , Anthony Gonzalez, and Antonio Pittman just to name a few.

Ohio State probably did. They had more explosiveness on offense with Smith and Ginn a year ago. Defensively, they are still solid.
LSU dropped off a little from a year ago, primarily on the offensive side of the ball. The secondary missed Laron Landry, too.

I think OSU's talent was better last year, but I think they learned from their mistakes and are hungrier, more determined this year. They won't get FAT for the next 5 weeks.
As for LSU, I have not seen every game the past two years, so I can't say.

Last year Ohio was more "explosive" this year I feel that we are better balanced. I would argue that Ohio is better this year, and same with LSU, simply because they are "undefeated in regulation"
that's a joke.
