No, not at all. You're talking community college, not four year college, and the entry requirements are different. You don't need any language prior to entering community college. If you have it, great. But if you don't have it, don't stress. You can take a language at community college if you'd like to.

You would need two years of language, or equivalent, in order to graduate from a bachelor's degree program, and a lot of bachelor's programs want you to have those years prior to applying to transfer, so if transferring later on might be your plan, take two years of language at community college, while you're getting your associates.

I know to graduate HS you need 2 foreign language credits.
