How many of you would shed a tear for President Bush? If not, how come?

I remember that day very well. The whole nation was saddened. JFK was loved the world over and it was not just people in the US that shed a tear or two. I don't think Bush is nearly as popular. While, I don't like Bush I don't want to see him assassinated either. I wouldn't be particularly happy but my small degree of sadness would be short as I have a life to carry on with.

I probably wouldn't shed a tear, but I would not rejoice either. I sincerely hope he goes back to his ranch in January 2009 and spends the rest of his life clearing brush. There are two reasons I don't want any harm to come to him: 1) Cheney (although some say he's really the president, so what difference would it make) and 2) I don't want that man being martyred. I want Dubya to be remembered as the consummate screw-up and venal corporate suck-up that he is.

Whether you liked JFK or not the fact is one of our Presidents was shot and killed.

I think most were sad that it was an event that highlighted the turmoil during that period of American History. Plus its shocking to think someone would actually kill a President of the United States.

Agree with the President or not we are all one, with our future tied together.

Thats why all true Americans were sad on that day.

JFK was a President (P), Bush is a president (p).
The only people crying over Bush would be those neocons whose designs on American would die with him.
I don't want to see him dead, although I still wouldn't shed any tears over him, he certainly wouldn't over me.
I would much rather see him, in handcuffs, on the Whitehouse lawn, sharing leg chains with Dick Cheney.

I'm sure many would be crying for the same reason people did for Kennedy. The loss of a president is hard on a country

By the time the news media got through making him out to be national treasure, even John Kerry would be crying crocodile tears! Turd polishing is a science with them..

Tears were shed from both parties at his death.
While a lot of people hate Bush, there are some of them who are Human beings all the same...and compassion is what unifies us all. I strongly believe that for all the hate and resentment out there, you would see tear-stained faces. The same is true with either Clinton.

I sure wouldn't. Although I would feel bad for our country and some empathy for his immediate family.
I don't want Bush to be assassinated. I hope no one is considering such a moronic and illegal act. But his corruption should land him in jail at the least.
