Try amusing your patient with the questions you could ask on Yahoo answers. Ask him for helping you also to find meaningful questions. This will help him a lot. LOL.

My guess there may be a sort of existential boredom you are going through. This may be because your profession may tend to distract you from your own emotional or spiritual introspection ("the cobbler's children have no shoes" syndrome).
Y/A might just so happen to be the first good outlet you have found in a while. I say go with it, and ask what you want to ask. Also, maybe take a couple days away for some introspection, and try find a better sounding board than Y/A.

I'm certain that this is temporary, and that it's happened to many of us in our respective careers/lives. It might do you good to take a vacation (or at least a break from Y! Answers) for as long as you feel you can. Many people have said they feel an addiction to this site...an addiction as bad as any other addiction could be. You know, in your heart, that your patients come first...Y! Answers is strictly 'spare-time' stuff...you can get back to that point, but it may take quite a bit of willpower. I wish you well, and know you will get back on track :)

Don't worry about it. I have never considered it appropriate that a therapist will actually listen to what a patient is saying.

That kind of attention to details can send you crazy!

Well as a therapist you should know that you would have a supervisor who assesses and councils you.
