Bullies are vile cowards and should be exposed for their devastating deeds! You are right to stand up for yourself but you also need to be protected and represented. You have a right to an independent witness at this meeting, to witness what is said etc.. Don' go it alone, if you have to put it off until proper procedures are in place and don't lose your cool. You have to be as sly as a fox and as wise as an owl to beat these vindictive people... I wish you well and hope for once the bullies don't win...

Send the supervisor a letter stating that you have been the victim of bullying and workplace harassment, and that you demand that it cease. It is the employer's responsibility to stop harassment in the workplace. If they take any action against you, that is retaliation, and you'll have a pretty good case. But you need to put them on notice in writing. Be as specific as you can about who did it, at what times the bullying was done, what form it took (yelling, physical), and what was said. Was the person bullying you for a reason, and if so, what was it. Was it for a reason that is discriminatory (age, race, national origin, etc.). But you need to convey this so that the company has a chance to act on its obligation. But if it never knows, then you can't hold them accountable.

No matter how much you are bullied, you need to keep your temper in check in the workplace. You can ask someone from human resources to be at the meeting to make sure that things are done correctly. There are laws against violence in the workplace and it sounds like the bully should have been terminated with cause. If nothing is done, I would suggest looking for another job with better atmosphere.

Good for you. Don't start feeling guilty about what you did (You know how we all do that sometimes once we calm down). Stay strong and stern but unemotional at the meeting. Don't whine on and on, just let them know you will not be treated this way.
I don't know about an 'independent body'. I was in a union and feel I could have represented myself better without them. They're in bed with management (more favoritism.)
Good luck.

Personally i suggest you dont show your temper infront of everyone, i know its hard, but sometimes thats what the bullies want you to do, and once theres not enough proof that the bullie was bullying It will leave you with egg on your face,
I suggest tactics, use them to drop the bullie in it.
iv done this befor and it really gives you a good feeling.
Then again, you could always try the good old fist fight outside of work :)

I have fired people like that in the past and I will do it again. If you worked for me, you would not have that problem.
