Yeah, I had the same "problem" only it was my step-dad doing the bruising...everyone would taunt me saying..."Hey Ali...who won the fight"?

Kids are cruel.

All the time! For any reason they could find. I was pudgy and I wore glasses so I really took a beating for that. Then when I got boobs I got made of fun of for that . One day I was wearing a blouse with these large buttons on it. They were just decorative large buttons. A girl came up and told me that I needed big buttons to hold in all my fat. Another time I was wearing a flowered dress and a guy laughed and said it was springtime in the rockies. I got called four eyes and cat eyes. One day we "broke into groups" ( i HATED that! ) and were discussing an assignment. This cheerleader type says, "Let's ask the fat girl." and turns to me.

Kids can be so hateful. That's OK. The duckling is a swan now and they can all kiss my ****.

I had to wear dresses all the time. Boys loved the stairs when I went up. My dad is an old time Holiness pentecostal minister. Very strict beliefs. Went to home school after grade school. So, Yes I was made fun of from the girls, but the boys loved me still! I would sneak and wear shorts under my dress so that no one could see my panties. This is why I don't make fun of people. RIGHT!!! LOL :)

Well at least your problem went away! When I was growing up I was VERY skinny, braces, glasses & I was just plain UGLY! My classmates made fun of me on a daily basis throughout my school years which is probably why I have such low self-esteem still today! I am no longer ugly but that sad little girl I was is still with me. For all you kids out there, DON'T make fun of people who look & act different. Get to know them. You may actually like them as a person! Thanks for asking this question!!

yes. because I acted "white"...meaning I didn't waste my time hanging out at the bowling alley and gas stations, actually went to class, wasn't ashamed of getting good grades, and spoke using proper grammar and English.

I'm glad they did though, because I'm the only one from my HS that doesn't have kids, graduated with my BS when I was 21, and now, at 22, am working on my MBA, work at a fortune 500 company where I supervise 3 people....and, oh yeah, I'm married. So if I do get pregnant I won't be ashamed or embarrassed.

Yes. most of the time I was growing up. I had braces, acne, small breasts, glasses, chicken legs and dresses in second hand clothes. My dad was known in our small town for his drinking and the kids made fun of that. Someone drew a picture of my dad wearing a barrel and holding a beer in one hand as well as a shot gun in the other. They passed it around the bus and everyone laughed at me. I often wore high water pants because I was so leggy and skinny if they fit in the waist they were too short. Mom and dad didn't have much money. I wore moms clothes a lot of the time and they made fun of me for that. I was called ugly, horse legs, the chin (for my under bite) itty bitty titty, Crater Face, Zit face etc. I could go on and on and on.

I was always the new kid. I was in three schools in both third and fourth grade in different parts of the country. I was also in four high schools all four years. My senior year ended up great though. I went to the prom with a guy I was absolutely smitten with, and got to graduate and walk the line. That was a miracle in itself given how messed up my credits got from moving.

I'm sorry, I got teased because I was always very skinny and lanky, so until high school I was taller than most boys. I could only dance with guys from the basketball team:)
