Would it be a better idea for democracy if election officials could not release their tally?

until after the last state has finished voting. It wouldn't be hindering the press but clearing up a way for democracy to be more effective.

The media has no interest in an honest and comprehensive election. What does that say about America?

I agree--and in fact, there are some restricitions. They should be stronger, however.
