Who do you think is the most overrated band in history?

Everybody has one, the band that everybody loves, but you just can't get into yourself. Mine is Led Zepplin. Its not that they were horrible, Jimmy Page, to be honest was amazing, but the music, and the voice, I just never thought they were that great. A more modern overrated band I would say is Korn, again, they could be ok, but never all that great. Who's the band that you consider the most overrated? and why? Try to avoid pop answers like Spears, its just an easy target.

That, is how I can call them overrated... Page was the best guitarist ever, the band was not the best band ever, a lot of their songs are not even listenable, and as Plant himself has said, Stairway to heaven compeltely ruined them. Like I said, they are ok, but they are far from deseving the greatness they recieved. The beatles are overrated too, but I'd still take them over Led.

How in the hell can you say that Led Zeppelin is over rated? They are the best Rock Band that will ever be. They helped launch the Rock Era.They have stood the test of time and are still doing concerts and are even planning a US tour with John Bonam's son on drums, Who just happens to be the most amazing drummer. I feel that groups or the single artists that are involved in rap or music that is so degrading to women have no talent. that is the kind of stuff that is highly over rated.

Godsmack! I don't know if I would consider them the most overrated but that's all that comes to mind.

I have some other bands that I believe to be way overrated at the same time they do have musical abilities... such as Linkin Park (good but not that damn good), Nickelback (Leader of men best song... no good ones after that), System of a Down (like them but they aren't as good as people say they are), and of course Metallica (okay but not that great).

Nickleback is a grouse band, they are not over-rated.
I believe that Blink 182 is over rated, and their music clip to ALL THE SMALL THINGS cant get any GAYer.
Foo Fighters are abit up and down too, i dont rate them highly.
I believe Led Zeppelin is a top band, and Hinder is just getting bettr.

U2, Beatles, Led Zep, ACDC, and so on. They're no longer that totally proficient to supply them an excessive amount of credit score. It's simply occurred that of their time, they have got few opponents, which could cause them to sound so heavenly saintly fantastic! If we are going to seem at Led Zeppelin's works like Stairway To Heaven, it does not excel and is beautiful "mediocre" and "customary" whilst in comparison to the works of a few bands at present like Opeth (whose riffs are way more problematic and various than Led Zep's) Well, that is simply my opinion! No offense!!

I am pretty much over the Van Halen craze. They were good, but for the love of God, if you have to teach your kid how to play just so that you have a bass player that can't quit on you, it might be time to put away your pastel spandex and Dingo boots.

I no I'll get tons of thumbs down but- Nickleback they are totally overplayed. It would be alright if it were just a few songs here and there. They try to do a rock version of rap as far as lyrics go.
