I'm originally from upstate NY (Buffalo). Now I live in South Florida and can's stand the people. Two many geriatrics and cheesy people. I love cosmopolitian cities, as well as educated, stlish people and am contemplating a move to New York or Chicago. Which city is better??? Please help. Thanks.

Chicago is more all American city like and a little more affortable( one bedroom about $1200).

NYC is really expensive ( a decent small one bedroom about $1800 per month in Manhattan), more metropolitan and more mix pot like.

I have always loved Chicago. I think its relaxing and exciting all at the same time. If your looking for art and education I would think this would be your spot. NY is over rated in my opinion. Go for a weekend get-a-way to both and see what you prefer! Good luck to you and your adventures!

I would go to Manhattan if you can afford it. There is no place like Manhattan.

I would go to Boston or Seattle or San Francisco before Chicago - but that's just me.
